The purpose of the Queen Margaret University Edinburgh Honor Society

Queen Margaret University Honor Society, is proud to be progressing with an application to become a Chapter of Sigma within the Sigma global community and to facilitate this we have formed the Queen Margaret University Edinburgh Honor Society.

Sigma is the only truly global community of Nursing with over 135,000 members in around 85 countries worldwide. To be a member of the Queen Margaret University Edinburgh Honor Society and subsequent Sigma Chapter presents significant opportunities and benefits to Nurse members and we look forward to welcoming you on our journey towards Sigma Chapter status. Once full Chapter status is achieved Queen Margaret University Edinburgh Honor Society will be first ever Sigma Chapter to be awarded in Scotland and only the second to be developed in the UK.

We are committed to the support of learning and professional development of our Under-graduate and Post-graduate nurses at Queen Margaret University. This key part of our Division of Nursing strategy aligns closely with the mission and goals of the community of Sigma nurses.  The formation of this Honor Society and our journey towards the formation of a Sigma Chapter together with our commitment to the philosophies and consistent delivery of Person-centred Practice in nursing, will we believe, improve and enhance nursing care in our communities.

What are the benefits of Membership to Queen Margaret University Edinburgh Honor Society?

Applying to become a Sigma Chapter is a two-stage process and we have completed stage one and formed the Queen Margaret University Edinburgh Honor Society. As a member of Queen Margaret University Honor Edinburgh Society, you will have immediate access to the following benefits:
