I am a Lecturer in the Division of Nursing. I also work clinically as a Specialist Nurse at the Spittal St Centre in Edinburgh where I have led the Wound Clinic service for over 15 years. I am an Independent Prescriber and have a background in Acute Care Nursing and Tissue Viability.
My research interests are largely focussed around leg ulceration, particularly in relation to substance misuse. My PhD thesis explored leg ulceration in young people who inject drugs, identifying prevalence, risk factors and how harm may be reduced.
