  • Overview

I joined the team at QMU as a Food Technologist in January 2016. We work on a range of projects and develop new and innovative products for the food and drink industry. I’ve always had an interest in food & nutrition which is why I decided to study the Bsc (hons) Nutrition degree at QMU. In my third year I studied the dietary factors involved in the development and prevention of coronary heart disease. The aim of my final year honours project was to investigate the relationship between Mediterranean diet intake and participant nutritional knowledge.

After graduating I went on to complete a placement with a local health promotion charity where I helped a range of people learn to cook and educated them on the importance of healthy living.

I am in the very early stages of my career and look forward to expanding my knowledge on many aspects of food and nutrition.
