Business School

Dr Andrew Bratton is a Programme Leader and Lecturer in the Queen Margaret Business School.

  • Overview

I have academic and consultancy experience. I am Programme Leader of Graduate Apprenticeships and Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Queen Margaret University and I have been involved in applied research projects for workplace sustainability with, for example, Glasgow City Council, National Health Service, University of Edinburgh, Lothian Buses, ScotRail, and Scottish Southern Energy.

Working at the intersection of research and management practice, it was previously my role as a Business Change Manager (KTP Associate) at Redspire Ltd, a Scotland-based Microsoft software consultancy, to implement a knowledge management and continuous improvement system and support the creation of a learning organisation.

My research interests include sustainable workplaces, change management and employee voice. My current research centres on knowledge management and the application of lean and agile practices in SMEs. My research uses both qualitative and quantitative methodology, and I have a professional interest in action research as a tool for organisational change.
