My main area of research interest is behavioural finance, in particular the context, methods, and information used in decisions affecting the balance sheet, income and cash flow statements of a business. This subject relates to accounting and financial concepts, from fundamental to advanced, as used on a daily basis in firms of all sizes in different sectors.  Specifically, my research has focused on the economic and financial decision-making of immigrant entrepreneurs in the UK.  In addition to examining key elements of financial decision-making within a behavioural economics framework, this research has dealt with topics such as financial capability, formal and informal lending for start-ups, and the business support of immigrant networks settling in developed countries.
