Do you want to be a teacher? The Scottish Government recently announced a STEM Bursary of £20,000 as an incentive to help you easily transition into your Initial Teacher Education.

If you’re looking to do a one-year PGDE ITE (Professional Graduate Diploma in Education: Initial Teacher Education) in Scotland, you may be eligible to apply. This exceptional bursary administered by Skills Development Scotland has been specifically created to assist eligible students to achieve the award of registered teacher status in the STEM subjects, which have been hardest to fill. Eligible students can also apply to SAAS (Scottish Awards Agency Scotland) to pay their tuition fees.

Queen Margaret University is among the list of selected universities from which students may be eligible to apply for the STEM Bursary. View our PGDE Secondary Home Economics course.
