TEDxQMU 2019

Ted x logo at QMU - Flourishing through connections

Following on from a successful TEDx event in 2017, the TEDx team are delighted to announce that TEDxQMU 2019 is back and will be held on Friday 22nd November 2019.

What is TEDx?

A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with a community. Find more information on the TED website: https://www.ted.com/

Our theme for TEDx 2019 is “Flourishing through Connections”

The TEDxQMU team decided it was time to celebrate our connections with our wider community partners. With this in mind, TEDxQMU 2019 aims to build on our previous themes of ‘flourishing’ and ‘our transgenerational world’ and challenge the audience and the TEDx community to think about our world, and our community, and to introduce ordinary but also extraordinarily people, who challenge and disrupt societal norms, giving more of us access to the things we need to flourish and create a more diverse, inclusive and healthy world.  We want to challenge the audience to think about how to live in, and contribute to, our community in a person-centred way, offering our best selves and helping others to thrive. We aim to do this through a variety of talks that encourage the audience to think differently about society and our own roles within it.
