What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?
A highlight of my time at QMU so far was living in residential halls. At first, I was not sure that I wanted to live in residence. However, it was the best decision I ever made, as it has brought me many incredible experiences. I have met so many incredible people from all over the world and made such great friendships. It is also only a 2-minute walk to campus, which makes getting to lectures a lot easier and quicker than travelling by bus/train from the city. Studying at QMU was a decision that I could not pass up, and I hope to experience many more highlights like this one.
What is the one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU?
Before coming to university, make sure you have all your documentation that the school asks for i.e. transcripts, diploma, etc. Try to keep it all organised, as they will ask you for it once you arrive.
I also wish I took a deeper look at the Scotland.org website: This website includes a comprehensive overview of living and studying in Scotland.
What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU?
My favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU is helping prospective students and their families by providing information about studying at QMU. Before coming to QMU, I have never been to the UK or studied abroad. This experience was entirely new to me, and I continued to learn new things every day. In this role, I can help others by answering people’s questions, giving them tours of the school, sharing my personal experiences and handy tips for studying at QMU.
