What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?
I have honestly enjoyed every minute of it but I particularly love studying in the library! Nothing beats an evening of studying in the library, with an iced latte from Starbucks and the lovely view of the campus grounds and sometimes the swans. I think we are really lucky with where the campus is situated, away from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh, it’s always nice to take a wonder around the lake. :)
What is the one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU?
I wish I knew how kind everyone was! I always saw Uni as being very daunting and even a bit scary but QMU is the complete opposite, it’s such a small campus which means A) you won’t get lost! B) you see the same people everyday and its comforting to see the familiar faces! QMU is a community of lovely and friendly people and if I knew how welcoming everyone would be I don’t think I’d have been so terrified!
What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU?
I love helping people! I think it is such a great an unique opportunity getting to work at the open days and other events running through the year, calming the first years nerves and making sure they know everything is going to be alright! I remember how nerve racking it was going into first year and how reassuring the student ambassadors were, so it’s super cool that I’m one now! :)
