Sandra Grieve (BA Hons Arts and Social Studies, Postgrad Diploma Export Marketing, Postgrad Certificate Tertiary Education) is the Creative Industries Academy Coordinator in the School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management.

Sandra graduated from Strathclyde University in 1986 with an honours degree in modern languages. After studying for a postgraduate diploma in marketing from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College (graduated with Distinction in 1988) Sandra worked in a variety of marketing/PR roles culminating in her role as Marketing Manager for Jenners Department Store in Edinburgh.

In 1994, Sandra began teaching on a part-time basis, initially at Napier University, then at Jewel & Esk Valley College (now Edinburgh College). Sandra was awarded a postgraduate certificate in tertiary education from Stirling University in 2001. She joined QMU in September 2004 predominantly teaching media relations at undergraduate level. Sandra was also convener of the Industrial Advisory Panel and Placement Coordinator for both undergraduate and postgraduate PR courses.

Since 2012 she has been working in partnership with schools and colleges in south-east Scotland to ensure consistent and coherent delivery of the Creative Industry Academy programmes across a variety of campuses.

  • Main area of interest communication and the third sector.

Currently only teaching units on the HNC Media and Communication and HNC Acting & Performance courses for the Year 2 Creative Industry Academy students.
