Alexander Williams is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science within the Nursing division at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Alexander is also a member of the College of Paramedics (MCPara).

Overview

Alex is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science and Admissions Tutor for the Bsc Paramedic Science program. Alex is a registered paramedic and has worked in several different areas including of prehospital care prior to moving to QMU. Including on-scene incident management, clinical team lead and advanced cardiac arrest management. Alexs’ interests are focused on decision making in the prehospital care environment. This includes human factors, cognitive decision making and Person-Centered leadership in all areas of paramedic practice. Alex is still an active member of the rapid resuscitation response team in Edinburgh.

At QMU Alex delivers modules focused on pathophysiology and decision making, as well being involved with Pharmacology and resilience. He also works closes within the practical skills team to incorporate awareness and understanding of how paramedics work under pressure and manage teams within the clinical environment.
