Maps

Our department has a limited number of free cycling maps in stock of Edinburgh and East Lothian. Spokes, the Lothian Cycle Campaign, provides some of the most detailed and up to date maps of the whole of the Lothians.

Online cycle journey planners

The CycleStreets journey planner can provide excellent information for route planning.

Planning a walk

To plan your journey on foot, all you need to do is type in your origin and destination into the walkit.com journey planner.

Walkit.com will generate a route map for you between two points, as well as providing you with an estimated journey time, the approximate number of calories you will burn, a step count and also your carbon saving. You can also choose different route options - perhaps you'd like to take the more scenic route?
