Speech and Language Therapy courses

Our undergraduate degree for SLTs is a BSc (Hons) or, if you have a relevant degree already, you could qualify as an SLT in just two years with a PGDip (post-graduate diploma), which can be converted to an MSc with an additional research thesis. See our SLT pages.

Audiology courses

We run a Diploma course in Hearing Aid Audiology, a PGDip (post-graduate diploma) in Audiology, which can be converted to an MSc with an additional research thesis. For those who are already Audiologists, we run an MSc (post-registration) in Audiology. Check out our special Audiology pages or Facebook logo and link to audiology facebook site.

Research by our pre-registration students

Recent research papers by Caitlin McCron and Christopher Brennan-Jones are here and here.

Our pre-registration students have an excellent record in winning the RCSLT student research project prize, and 4th year projects have been presented at international conferences. Student work makes a real contribution by piloting new techniques and formulating new ideas. More details on research by students and staff is here.

Postgraduate research students

Check out our postgraduate research student area for PhD and MSc news. See who our current PhD and Masters students are and what they are doing, the range of doctoral projects, past theses etc.

Impact

We aim to achieve a balance by taking our cutting-edge, world-leading research and helping to make it actually count in the real world. Clinical technologies and other products of research are increasingly in use in clinical environments, but was always want to help you do more, and to tailor our research priorities accordingly. Everyone deserves the opportunity to communicate.
