Student Accommodation

If you have applied for a place at Queen Margaret University and need somewhere to stay in Edinburgh during term-time, the QMU Student Accommodation Office is here to help you.
The new QMU campus, which opened in October 2007 houses around 800 brand new single study en-suite bedrooms in self contained flats for three to six students. Each flat has a kitchen and comfortable living area.

Each room is equipped with an en-suite shower and toilet, high-speed internet connections and much, much more. Although the rooms are self catered catering packages are available.
As part of the plans to encourage environmental sustainability, parking is not available for students staying in on-campus accommodation. There are, however, numerous bus and train links from the campus to Edinburgh City and the surrounding area.
It is very important that potential students apply as early as possible for a room in our halls as demand is traditionally very high.
Accommodation in halls is allocated fairly, according to established criteria which includes date of application, year of study, age and geographical distance from the University.
QMU is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment that is easily accessible for students with disabilities. If you have a disability of any kind and are thinking of applying to live in the halls, it is essential that the Accommodation Office is made fully aware in plenty of time of anything that may be required to ensure that your room is accessible or equipped as necessary for your stay.
More details on associated costs are available on the halls of residence page.
We can also help you find privately rented accommodation in Edinburgh.
You can reach the Accommodation Office on tel: +44 (0) 131 474 0000.
We also offer Holiday Accommodation.
