VISTING QMU

  • Open Days & Evenings

Undergraduate Open Days - There are two Undergraduate Open Days held in September and October each year. The Open Days allow you to attend presentations on each subject area offered at QMU as well as general presentations on topics such as Student Finance, Accommodation, Student Life, and Making a Successful Application. There are also opportunities to speak to subject area staff on an individual basis and take guided tours of our campus. Our 2010 Undergraduate open days are on Thursday, 9 September and Saturday, 9 October. You could also consider the alternative options below.

Postgraduate Open Evenings - The University holds two Open Evenings for those students interested in postgraduate study options. These informal evenings allow you to drop in at a time convenient to yourself to speak with a member of staff from each of our subject areas, consult with admissions and student finance staff and take a tour of our campus. The next Postgraduate Open Evening is on Wednesday 28th of April 2010, both 5.30pm-7.30pm. For more information and to book a place, visit the link above.

  • Individual & Group Visits: Campus Tours

If you are unable to visit the University on one of our official Open Days you can request to visit on another date and receive a Campus Tour, normally delivered by one of our Student Ambassadors. Tours include the Learning Resource Centre, teaching rooms, social areas including the students union and sports facilities, and where possible Student Accommodation. There will also be the opportunity to speak with a member of staff from the Recruitment and Admissions team. Visit requests should be made preferably 2 weeks in advance by emailing RILO with details of the number of visitors, subject area of interest and preferred dates and times for your visit. We will then get back in touch with you to confirm your visit. Please note that it is not possible to arrange individual or group visits to the University on a Saturday or Sunday.

  • Applicant Visit Days

All undergraduate applicants who are made an offer of a place will be invited to attend an Applicant Visit Day. These days normally take places in January-March. Students will be sent specific information about the visit day for their subject area.
