One of the first fledgling companies to be supported by QMU's Business Innovation Zone is Raw Film Productions. Raw Film is the creative partnership of BAFTA-winning filmmakers and QMU graduates Agata Jagodzinska and Michael Grant.

Specialising in digital filmmaking, Raw Film Productions use the most up-to-date equipment resulting in very high standard, high definition films.

Producing corporate and academic research films, previous clients have included NHS Scotland, East Lothian Council, Mental Welfare Commission and The Royal and Ancient Golf Club. They also worked with the charity 500 Miles which saw them create films in Malawi and create all the video content for a campaign that helped raise the charity over £500,000.

Raw Film Productions have undertaken a range of projects with QMU including the AlcoLoLs project with Portobello High School which focused on a new approach to learning and communicating about alcohol which was celebrated at a reception at the Scottish Parliament. Other work has included a film about the Hollies Day Centre in East Lothian.
