Formal ethical approval is required for ALL research conducted by QMU employees or QMU students. Where any research uses QMU employees or students as participants, approached in their capacity as QMU employees or students, or is being carried out on QMU campuses, formal ethical approval from QMU is required. Any external researcher who wishes to conduct research at QMU or use QMU employees or QMU students in their research must also gain ethical approval from QMU.
