Radiography

Entry Requirements

  Therapeutic Radiographers with HPC Registration and a minimum of two years clinical experience.
 

Successful completion of the pre-requisite module: Imaging Modalities (RM040)

 

Possess a negotiated contract with the manager of the clinical department to ensure that the required amount of time and patient load to complete the work-based element of the programme will be made available.

  Show evidence of continuing professional development.
  Each candidate will be considered individually with regard to her/his ability to meet the demands of the course. Ultimately it will be the responsibility of the Clinical Departments to determine suitability.

This 30 credit M-level programme is delivered over a nine-month period on a part-time basis.

The overall aim of the module is to support students to develop skills of radiographic image interpretation and pattern recognition.

The theoretical content of the module will be self-supported through independent academic study. During this study the student will have access to the entire range of Queen Margaret University electronic library facilities as well as guidance to access those provided by the respective UK Health Departments. Students will be encouraged to consider the implications of the skills they are learning in relation to current research, medico legal, ethical and governance issues.
