The Division of Psychology and Sociology was formed in 2011 as partof the School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management. Together with Media, Communication and Performing Arts and Business, Enterprise and Management, this new School offers students a flexible and dynamic environment in which to equip themselves with skills and knowledge essential for forging a career in their chosen area. The School provides a combination of high quality teaching and a faculty dedicated to continued development and research to an excellent standard offers students an ideal grounding in which to develop their own skills in preparation for a successful future.
We offer two innovative and up-to-date undergraduate courses: the BSc/BSc (Hons) Psychology and BSc/BSc (Hons) Psychology and Sociology. The BSc Hons Psychology degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society and confers graduate basis for registration as a chartered psychologist (GBC). We also currently supervise several PhD students with new studentships being offered on a regular basis.
