Welcome to the Student Services Department of Queen Margaret University.
Student Services is a professional support department working to ensure students have the information, advice, guidance and opportunities necessary to support their successful experience and achievement whilst studying at QMU.
We work with students to address issues and overcome obstacles that might stand in the way of their progress. Staff in Student Services acknowledge the diversity of students' backgrounds and experiences and have established a range of support services designed to meet students' needs and requirements.
We have a team of specialists in the areas of careers and student employment, disability advice, counselling, student funding advice, transition and pre-entry guidance and Student Health Care Support linked to the Riverside Medical Practice in Musselburgh.
Our services are confidential and free. If we cannot offer the support you need, we can provide information about other relevant sources of help.
We liaise with other areas of support within the university such as the Effective Learning Service, Academic Departments, Disabled Student Co-ordinators (DSCs), the Students' Union, Admissions and International Office to develop and improve the student experience.
Please do come to see us if you have any concerns which you would like to discuss. We are here to help.
With best wishes for a happy and successful time at Queen Margaret University.
