Student Services

Welcome to the Student Services Department of Queen Margaret University.

Student Services is a professional support department working to ensure students have the information, advice, guidance and opportunities necessary to their successful experience and achievement whilst studying at QMU. We work with students to address issues and overcome obstacles that might stand in the way of their progress. Staff in Student Services acknowledge the diversity of students' backgrounds and experiences and have established a range of support services designed to meet students' needs and requirements. We have a team of specialists in the areas of careers and student employment, disability advice, counselling, srudent funding advice, transition and pre-entry guidance and a medical service linked to the Riverside Medical Practice in Musselburgh.

Our services are confidential and free. If we cannot offer the support you need, we can give information about other sources of help.

We liaise with other areas of support within the university such as the Effective Learning Service, Academic Departments, Disabled Studend Co-ordinators (DSCs), the Students' Union, Admissions and International Office in order to collaborate on ways to improve the student experience.
