Tom Carline, Podiatry, QMU

 

 

Dr Thomas Carline graduated from the Cardiff School of Chiropody in 1974 with a diploma in Chiropody, he then received a BSc(Hons) in Physiology from the University of Nottingham in 1979 followed by a PhD in1987 and Diploma in Toxicology/Pharmacology 1990. 

Tom has lectured at QMU since 1993 and before this he worked for 19 years in Derby, both in the NHS and in Private Practice. His role on the undergraduate Podiatry programme is Level 4 Year leader. He teaches Clinical Management 1, Clinical Physiology 2, Advanced Diagnostic Investigations to Level 4 and IPE. Tom contributes to postgraduate courses as the Programme Leader for the MSc in Diabetes and teaches on various Diabetes modules. Tom is currently External Examiner, for the Postgraduate degree in Diabetes at Leeds University. He also has a clinical teaching commitment. He is Special Needs/Disability coordinator for the Subject area of Podiatry.
