Evelyn Weir - Podiatry - QMU

 

 

Evelyn Weir has been a lecturer in Podiatry at Queen Margaret University since 1995.

Evelyn completed her podiatry studies at Queen’s College in Glasgow in 1992, and continues to work as a podiatrist in addition to her teaching role at QMU.

Within QMU, Evelyn is involved in interprofessional education, and works with students from a wide variety of professions - radiography, physiotherapy, podiatry, speech and language therapy, audiology, nursing, dietetics and occupational therapy. Evelyn’s key areas of subject delivery at undergraduate level include anatomy and biomechanics, local anaesthesia, ageing and gerontology, dermatology, neurology and tissue viability. At postgraduate level, Evelyn is involved in the delivery of education surrounding the physiological and psychosocial aspects of ageing.

Evelyn has experience in the online learning environment, and is Programme Leader for the BSc Radiography, BSc Physiotherapy Conversion, BSc Occupational Therapy Conversion and BSc Podiatry Conversion degrees, delivered via the online learning arena of WebCT to students across the world.
