


Research themes in Physiotherapy at QMU fall into two distinct categories:

Research activity largely involves the design, implementation and evaluation – in terms of clinical/functional outcomes – of interventions for:
(i) apparently healthy people
(ii) people for whom movement, mobility and quality of life are limited due to acute or chronic clinical conditions such as: Cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Critical illness. Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Obesity, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Post-Orthopaedic surgery, Renal Failure
