Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy programme enjoys a high reputation within the profession, based on its track record of innovation. It developed the first UK degree level course in Occupational Therapy, the first honours degree programme within Scotland and the first degree conversion course for diplomate Occupational Therapists.

In 1999, it became the first international programme to be approved by the American Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education and has strong links throughout the world.

The staff, with their wide range of expertise coveringeducational, clinical and research interests, are concerned with the personal and professional development of their students. Indeed, individual support given to students is a distinctive feature of the programme, which prides itself on the diverse nature of the students who are recruited.
