QMU runs kids summer activity camp
Entertaining children throughout the summer holidays can be tricky but Queen Margaret University’s sports’ centre is coming to the rescue.
Queen Margaret University’s ‘Childsplay’ is an activity programme for children aged 5 to 12 years old. ‘Childsplay’ offers children a range of arts, crafts and sporting activities from the 19 th July to the 13 th August from 9am – 4pm on week days only.
Stuart Burnside, Leisure Services Attendant at QMU, explained: “The team has had many years of experience of running summer programmes for children. These proved very popular at our Corstorphine campus and we are delighted to able to offer this service to the East Lothian community.”
The programme is flexible and children can be booked for anywhere between a half day to a full week. Kids will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of activities including badminton, basketball, netball, football, rounders, arts and crafts, quizzes and many more.
Stuart concluded: “This is a great opportunity to keep kids entertained, make new friends, try new sports and activities, learn the rules of each sport they participate in, and most importantly, have fun!”
Prices range from £11.00 for a half day, to £90.00 for a full week. Booking is essential.
