Christie graduates and becomes Vice President of QMU Students’ Union

A 22 year old from St Andrews has just become Vice President of Queen Margaret University’s Students’ Union.

Last week, Christie McMonagle from Sloan Street, St Andrews, celebrated her graduation from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and her new position as the Vice President of the University’s Student Union.

Christie celebrated with her parents and friends at the graduation ceremony held in the capital’s Festival Theatre, where she was awarded a BA (Hons) Marketing Management from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

Christie, who began her year in office as QMU’s Vice President in June, graduated alongside the Scottish actor, David Hayman (star of Lynda Le Plante’s ‘Trial and Retribution’); David Duke, founder of the social enterprise, Street Soccer Scotland; and Jacqui Lunday, Chief Health Professions Officer with the Scottish Government, who were awarded honorary degrees from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
