UNDERGRADUATE OPEN DAYS 2010 - Thursday, 9 September & Saturday, 9 October 2010 (11am-3pm)
Our next undergraduate open days will be on Thursday, 9 September & Saturday, 9 October 2010 (11am-3pm). You do not need to come at the start and can come at a time that's convenient to you during these hours, but we do however recommend that you come at the start to make the most of what's available to you on the day.If you come at the start of the day, you will be directed into a 'Welcome Talk'. The talk, presented by our Vice Principal, will give you an idea on what's going on at the open days (as there's often quite a bit to take in) and a little bit of info about QMU generally. If you do not wish to/ have time to attend the welcome talk, please tell a member of staff/ student helper who can point you in your desired direction.
At the open days you will be able to:
- Meet and speak to the academics from the the courses that you are interested in
- Attend subject and general information talks* (eg student finance, UCAS help etc)
- Go on a campus tour, where you can see our superb facilities and accommodation
Meet the academics: Academics from each subject area will be available for you to talk to throughout the days. This will give you the oppotunity to ask any questions that you have about the course, or just find out a little more about the course or QMU.
Subject and general talks: Most subject areas will be doing talks on the days, which will normally last 30 mins unless otherwise stated. It's your opportunity to experience life in a QMU classroom and find out a little bit more about the course and the subject in general. There will also be other talks for matters that will interest you: Accommodation, Finance, Life as a Student, Mature and College Students, UCAS. The times of the talks are below. You will also be given a 'welcome booklet' when you get here which will tell you which room to go to for each talk. Staff and student will also be on hand to point you in the right direction. The talks that have been planned are listed below. Please note that due to factors outwith our control these may be subject to change - even on the day.
