Undergraduate open days 2014

Our next undergraduate open days will take place on 4 October 2014, 11am - 4pm.

On the day you will be able to:

  • Meet and chat to current students
  • Attend subject talks
  • Attend other informative talks
  • Go on a campus tour

If you would like to attend one of our open days, please complete the 'Register Your Interest' form below. This will provide us with your email address and a few days prior to event, we will email you a registration form to complete and bring with you on the day. This will allow us to accurately record who comes to the event.

NB If you have registered your interest and can no longer make it, you do not need to notify us, but it will stop you from receiving further information about the day if you do (email us).

Network Rail will be carrying out necessary engineering work on the Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick line (which serves our campus at Musselburgh Station) on Saturday, 4 October. If you were initially planning to travel to the QMU campus by train from Waverley station on that date, you may need to make alternative arrangements.

Replacement coach service
A replacement coach service (provided by First Scotrail) will be in operation for the duration of the day and coaches will leave the stations at the same times as the trains are scheduled to leave each station. A timetable is available at Scotrail has estimated to us that the journey from Edinburgh Waverley to Musselburgh will take approximately 20 minutes - please allow time for your journey. If you are planning to come to the open day for an 11am start, we would recommend that you are at Waverley Station to catch the coaches which will leave at 10am or 10.30am. Scotrail have confirmed that the coaches will leave from Market Street (which is just outside the station) - signage in the station will direct you to Market Street.

QMU realises that this situation will cause some inconvenience for some open day visitors, however, it is beyond the control of the University. Alternatively, you can travel from Edinburgh city centre on a Lothian Bus - Service 30 to Musselburgh. There are various stops along Princes Street (just outside Waverley Station) and the service is very frequent. It will take approximately 40 minutes to get to campus on this bus.

More travel details can be found below under 'useful links'.
