POSTGRADUATE OPEN EVENINGS 2010
Are you thinking about a change of career? Are you looking to enhance your employability? Postgraduate study at QMU could be the answer.
Our next postgraduate open evening will be on Wednesday, 28 April 2010 (5.30pm-7.30pm).
The open evening is an informal event allowing you to drop in at a time that suits you.
Find out about:
- studying at Postgraduate level at QMU;
- research degree opportunities (PhD’s, MPhil’s);
- enhancing career prospects by achieving a postgraduate qualification and
- updating and further developing personal skills and knowledge.
On the evening you will have the opportunity to:
- have a one-to-one discussion with subject area academic staff who can talk to you about the programmes of study on offer;
- find out about how you could build a PhD into your CPD whilst keeping your job;
- take a campus tour and see our state of the art facilities for yourself including our Learning Resource Centre;
- speak to Admissions staff about the application process;
- speak to Finance staff about funding options and
- apply for potential SAAS awards.

QMU has a green travel policy and we wncourage you to use sustainable transport and we offer some travel options. If you must bring your car spaces will be available in our car park after 5pm. Please note that you can only access the carpark off the A1 NOT Musselburgh (ie via Musselburgh Station).
UNDERGRADUATE OPEN DAY 2010
Our next undergraduate open days will be on Thursday, 9 September & Saturday, 9 October 2010. We anticipate that they will run from 11am-3pm. Please note that you do not need to come at the start and can come at a time that's convenient to you between these hours. We do however recommend that you come at the start to make the most of what's available to you on the day.
More information will be available nearer the time as we usually do not start the organisation of the days until April. From the open days, and based on previous year's, you can expect to be able to:
- Speak to the academics from the the courses that you are interested in
- Attend subject and general information talks (eg student finance, UCAS help etc)
- Go on a campus tour, where you can see our superb facilities and accommodation
BOOK ONLINE NOW - we are only taking bookings so that we have an idea of how many people we can expect to turn up on the days - you will not receive a 'booking confirmation'.
