The Jobshop is an information exchange service advertising vacancies open to you as a student and recent graduate.
1. How can I access employment and work experience information?
Search the latest vacancies online.
You can 'save your profile' so that you receive an automatic email alert for the type of vacancy you are looking for.
Visit the Jobshop Employment Support to browse noticeboards - check our opening times and drop-in sessions in the main page.
2. Who can use the Jobshop?
All registered Queen Margaret University students and QMU graduates up to two years after graduation. Please check our students code of practice as well as our Professional Body (NASES) Code of Practice.
3. Who can't use the Jobshop?
Students and graduates from other universities and colleges.

The Jobshop is aware that your course should be your priority and therefore we recommend to work no more than 15 hours per week during term-time. However we acknowledge students needs vary and we advertise part time jobs offering up to 20 hours per week during term time.
We also expect your conduct in any place of work found through the Jobshop to enhance the good name of the Service and of the University.
Most vacancies are advertised between September and Christmas each year.
The types of vacancies vary from hospitality, retail , health care work to demonstrators, sales advisers, call centre operators, administration and marketing/promotion staff.
We also receive one-off opportunities where you work for one or two days.

6. Employer open days/drop-in sessions
Every year a number of employers visit our campus to recruit staff, inform you of career choice they offer or simply help you to work and travel. Please check our events online.
