Queen Margaret University Jobshop strives to bring a variety of employers to meet students throughout the year. For more information contact the Jobshop.
The main events we organise since 2000 are our recruitment fairs where both students and recent graduates can meet employers offering part time work, temporary work, seasonal work, voluntary opportunities and graduate jobs.
Workshops
Application Forms in the Health Care and Social Care Sector (part time)
Friday 1 October 2010 - From 14:15 - 15:15
Room 66(next to Food for Thought)
This workshop is designed for students who want to apply for part time jobs in the health sector. The workshop will give an overview to international students on employers’ requirements when applying for jobs in the UK. It will also help them to identify transferable skills from their previous employment or work experience. By the end of the workshop students will be able to write an application form that addresses employers requirements.

CV Drop-in Sessions 2010– Every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4pm at the Jobshop - except Wednesday 6 October and Wednesday 13 October.

Our CV checks drop-ins are designed to support students who are looking for part time work or work experience opportunities.
Our expertise can help you to discover what employers may think of your CV as well as identify any gaps that may help you to secure an interview.
Please bring along your existing CV with you. We can also help you to make a CV from scratch if you don’t have one yet.

QMU Work Experience Employer Day 2010

This is an opportunity to discover from employers how their recruitment processes operate. These processes range from part time work, placements, internships to graduate employment. Some employers may also offer some current or oncoming opportunities.

National Insurance Number
The National Insurance Number is a requirement to work in the UK. The Jobcentreplus team attends QMU regularly to offer NINO appointments. The next opportunity will be on:
