Students

The Jobshop is a dedicated resource for all Queen Margaret University students (including international and part-time students). We offer a free service to help you find suitable employment while studying at QMU.

Jobshop aims to:

• find suitable part time jobs, seasonal work and voluntary opportunities
• advertise placements and internships
• provide information and give advice on employment related matters, such as Income Tax and National Insurance. Specific information for international students and students with disabilities is also available. Please read our code of practice before registering with us
• help students with their CV's, application forms and interview techniques

QMU Jobshop also organises job fairs that give students the opportunity to meet with employers and obtain information on future vacancies.

Employers

Employers can advertise part-time, seasonal and voluntary opportunities to students at Queen Margaret University through the Jobshop free of charge. To advertise graduate vacancies please contact Careers and Student Employment Service (CASES).

We also organise job fairs and employer visits within the university for our students and graduates as well as for students from surrounding universities and colleges.

Level 1 of the Academic Building within Student Services.

Opening times

QMU students have access to our online vacancy system 24/7. Our campus notice board, located on level one of the Academic Building, is also available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Drop-ins

Tuesdays, 2 pm-4 pm - CV's
Wednesdays, 2 pm-4 pm - Job Applications
Thursdays, 2 pm-4 pm - Mock Interviews
