Your first step at QMU is to register as a student. We call this process matriculation.
All students must matriculate for their course each academic year. Academic years usually run from September to the following September.
Students must matriculate before they begin their course. When students matriculate, they confirm various pieces of information with QMU and agree to the rules and regulations, and terms and conditions of QMU.
Matriculation at QMU is performed online and it's a good idea to do this before you even come to campus.
You can matriculate online by yourself, all you need is your QMU student number which you can find on your joining letter in your Joining Pack, or on the offer letter you received from Admissions during the application process. The Matriculation process should take about 15 minutes, so please make sure to set aside some time when you won’t be disturbed to check the matriculation information carefully and complete the process fully. If you have a letter of award from a funding body (employer, government agency, charity) saying that they are going to pay your tuition fees, you must update us with this information during the online matriculation process.

QMU Registry staff are happy to help, so if you have any trouble with the matriculation process, or require any special arrangements for matriculation, please don't hesitate to contact us.
If you haven't managed to complete your matriculation online before you come to campus, QMU Registry staff are happy to provide guidance when you get here. If you don't matriculate before coming to campus, it will impact on your IT access and may affect your participation in parts of your Induction Programme.
