Aims of the course
To provide participants with the knowledge
and skills necessary to:
- recognise when to use different types of
economic evaluation
- appreciate the advantages and
disadvantages of different types of
economic evaluation
- understand the techniques used to
measure and value costs and benefits
- identify the policy implications of
economic evaluations
- understand published economic
evaluations
- clarify the strengths and limitations
of economic evaluation as a tool for
decision making
Who should attend?
Health care policy makers, health
care providers concerned with cost-effectiveness in the delivery of health care,
and researchers needing to incorporate
economic evaluations into their studies.
