Leading Change

 

 

The course prepares participants to become skilled advocates and managers of change in health organisations. By understanding the processes of change, we are hoping to empower managers to move forward with change and provide a wide range of skills through exercises, group work and interactive learning. The issue of leadership is also important in order to drive the change process, and the module will look at how leadership can emerge, develop and be channelled within different organisations and cultures to mobilise health care.

Content will include:

  • models of leadership
  • types of leadership
  • leadership roles in organisations, communities
  • change management theory
  • change management techniques
  • communication techniques
  • team structures and performance; team building techniques
