The course aim is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the key issues in analysing the features and performance of different types of health care system.

The content includes analysis of health systems; international comparisons of health care spending; health systems around the world; public health care systems; insurance based systems; parallel systems; trends in health service reform; case studies of health service reform including changes to financing systems, use of contracts and service agreements, hospital autonomy and integrating the faith-based sector.
