Eurig Scandrett is a Lecturer in Sociology and coordinator of postgraduate programmes in Social Justice. His background is in adult and community education (and before that in environmental biology), and his research interests are learning processes in social movements and the use of popular education by campaign groups. For 8 years he was head of community action at Friends of the Earth Scotland and he has developed a number of pedagogical and research projects in environmental justice campaigns. He is coordinator of the Bhopal Survivors’ Movement Study and edited Bhopal Survivors Speak: emergent voices from a People’s Movement (2009, Word Power Books). He is a Fellow of the Centre for Human Ecology.
