Biographical statement

Edson Araujo is a health economist from Health Economics Programme at Federal University of Bahia/Brazil (www.pecs.ufba.br). His work has been mainly focused on health care financing, resource allocation to geographic areas and equity issues in health and health care (access, utilization and health outcomes).

He has experience in teaching, at Federal University of Bahia, a variety of courses related to health economics (health care financing, health and inequalities, economic evaluation of health care and health econometrics).

His current work aims to study the incentives associated with different types of reimbursement systems to health care providers in health care systems with high public-private interactions.
