Biographical statement |
Ananda is currently enrolled in a
PhD degree programme in Social Anthropology and International Health & Development jointly offered by
IIHD, QMU and the School of Social
and Political Studies, University of
Edinburgh. His research examines how
everyday bureaucratic practices can
contribute to the exclusion of persons
from state health services in Sri Lanka.
Ananda’s work engages with policy
and academic debates regarding the
governance of public health services
and also aims to provide new insights
into the nature of social relations,
power and citizenship in Sri Lanka.
