IIHD is a major partner in a new £6 million health systems knowledge consortium
LSTM is leading a six year, £6 million international research consortium to strengthen knowledge of how health systems which have been damaged in conflict situations are most effectively rebuilt.
The REBUILD programme, funded by the UK Government, includes partners in five countries and will focus on health financing, human resources and their interaction. Read more.......

IIHD is a collaborating partner in a EU-funded Leonardo de Vinci Collaboration with Gazi University (Ankara), Atilim University (Ankara), Turkish-German Health Group ( Germany), Nuffield Leeds ( UK) and the Mediterranean Health Managers Association ( Antalya) focusing on Developing Professional Qualifications and Educational Programmes for Health Managers. The collaboration, which started in September 2010, finishes in September 2012.
Each partner hosts a short meeting to carry forward the collaborative work, and from 1 - 3 February 2012, it is QMU's turn to host the meeting.

Helping Gaza's children lead ‘normal’ lives again
Mohamed Azaizeh is Mercy Corps’ Project Officer for the UK Department for International Development (DFID)-funded psychosocial project in the Gaza Strip. Mohamed joined Mercy Corps in February 2009 — immediately after the Gaza War — to take on a leading role implementing one of the larger emergency response programs. I have worked with him since I arrived in Gaza a few months later.
