|The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)
What is it?
The PRES is a biennial survey developed by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) to gather insight from postgraduate research students across the UK about their learning and supervision experience.
Who can take part?
If you are a Postgraduate Research student (PhD or Prof Doc), the Student Retention and Surveys Team will send you an email inviting you to take part during semester 2.
When does it run?
Every two years during semester two. The next PRES at QMU will take place in 2017.
How is it run?
The survey is run by the Student Retention and Surveys Team with support from the HEA, and you can be assured all responses remain confidential. Students complete the survey online through a dedicated Bristol Online Survey (BOS) site.
Why take part?
PRES results help us identify areas of strength as well as areas for improvement, so that we can keep improving your research experience at QMU. See our Making a Difference section for some examples of how we have been acting on your feedback.
Where can I find the results of the survey?
PRES results at national level can be found on the HEA website.
QMU students can see the results from PRES 2015 on the QMU Student Surveys Hub. Respondents to the PRES 2017 will also receive an email when PRES 2017 results become available on the Hub.
