I'm from Aberdeen and I thought Edinburgh was a good place to come - it's got a good reputation, lots of different cultures I'd read about when I was researching it before. There's a good social life as well - I just heard a good reputation about the Uni. It's the people I think. I auditioned at the RMSD - my brother went there and that's where I always thought I would go, but when I came to Queen Margaret, even at the audition, everything was more personable, I just got on with them a lot better, generally. I'd always wanted to study in Edinburgh, I've always been fascinated by the city and with it's festivals and everything. I thought coming to do a drama and arts course here it would be the best place. Well, they had the course that I wanted to do, and they accepted me very quickly - despite my age - and I really was delighted to be accepted. I'm from the Sultanate of Oman, it's in the Gulf Area. [Interviewer: How did you find out about Queen Margaret University College?] Actually, it was recommended by my father's friend and obviously the course that I wanted to do was in the college and it was recommended as well. I saw, out of all the courses I was aiming to do, in Scotland, it had the best name by far. So, best course offer, so I decided to head on here.
