Dietetics, Nutrition and Biological Sciences Research

Dietetics, Nutrition and Biological Sciences is heavily involved in research into issues related to nutrition and health. Most academic staff are research active and at any given time we have a number of PhD students.

Research in the subject area is carried out under the aegis of the multidisciplinary Centre for Nutrition and Food Research. Our research is aimed at establishing sound evidence on which to base strategies for improving nutritional health, in the context of both treatment and prevention, and draws on expertise in nutritional, biomedical and social sciences.
