National Forum on Ageing Futures Group

“All Our Futures : Planning for a Scotland with an Ageing Population” included a commitment to establish a National Forum on Ageing.

Members of the organisations listed below, with support from the Scottish Government, established the National Forum on Ageing Futures Group in 2009.

This independent 'think tank' addresses current issues and engages with people across Scotland in imaginative forward thinking.

By keeping the debate alive, we can plan for a future which puts Scotland at the forefront of the age agenda.

We are currently working in partnership with Generations Working Together and Renfrewshire Council to help develop guidelines that will support Local Authorities and Intergenerational Practice across Scotland to identify how they can contribute to the Scottish Government's agenda to 'Renew Scotland'. An event was be held in Paisley in January entitled: Generations together, shaping futures: Help us to develop guidelines. For more information, contact copa@qmu.ac.uk
