The Centre for the Older Person's Agenda is based at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

The Centre is a partnership with older people and professionals which undertakes research development and education in order to facilitate empowerment and participation.

The Centre is introducing a number of short courses and degree modules for older people and professionals who work with older people, commencing in September 2008.

The following education resources are available through the Centre:

The education part of the Centre’s work includes:

  • Contributing to education related to health and social care of older people at all levels
  • Developing resource packs and distance learning material for professionals, older people and carers
  • Collaborating with Trusts to support practice development initiatives related to older people
