Funding and Costs

If you are interested in becoming a part-time student and need funding, you may be eligible for assistance with your fees through a number of schemes.

Course/ Module Price
Module fees may vary according to the size of the short course and the delivery mode. In other words, some modules may be more expensive depending on type of learning materials, such as e-learning. The costs for all QMU's CPD and other short courses is indicated on the individual course pages.

Fee Waiver
Scottish domiciled students may be eligible to have their tuition fees waived if on a low income or in receipt of certain benefits and may also be entitled to a part-time student loan of £500 per annum. ILA Scotland
If you are over 16 and live in Scotland you may be eligible for funding of up to £200 from ILA Scotland. This is a Scottish Government scheme that helps anyone who earns less than £22,000 a year to pay for their learning. Your first step is to register with ILA Scotland.
