The MRC-funded project "Assessment and Treatment of Impaired Speech Motor Control in Children with Down's syndrome" and the related PhD research project by Dr Rebecca Rodger " An investigation of the voice quality of children with Down’s syndrome and its impact on listener judgements" have now successfully concluded.. What is Down's Syndrome?
Down's syndrome is a genetic condition caused by the presence of an extra chromosome. People with Down's syndrome all have a some degree of learning disability and many people with Down's syndrome experience difficulty with speech and language development.
