Project news

 

The MRC-funded project "Assessment and Treatment of Impaired Speech Motor Control in Children with Down's syndrome" and the related PhD research project by Dr Rebecca Rodger " An investigation of the voice quality of children with Down’s syndrome and its impact on listener judgements" have now successfully concluded.. Click here for some preliminary results and publications arising from this research which have led to the new Nuffield-funded project.

What is Down's Syndrome?
Down's syndrome is a genetic condition caused by the presence of an extra chromosome. People with Down's syndrome all have a some degree of learning disability and many people with Down's syndrome experience difficulty with speech and language development.
