Workshops

We run a programme of seminars and workshops in each semester, many of which are open to all students. Remember to check regularly on Blackboard and Prospects for details.

Seeing a Careers Adviser

The Careers Advisers offer three drop-in sessions per week during the semester for existing students to deal with brief enquiries. Just come along, no appointment is necessary:

Full guidance interviews can be booked by emailing student services or calling in at Student Services Reception. We ask you to give us a note of your matriculation number, course and year of study. If there is something specific you'd like to discuss please let us know.

Resources

Our Careers Resource Area is open from 9am to 4.30pm weekdays all year round. No appointment is required. Here you'll find information to help you explore different careers areas and make applications for employment and further study. As well as publications for you to consult we have lots of take-away booklets and magazines, as well as thin client terminals for you to conduct your own career research online.

We also have Multimedia resources such as DVDs on interview preparation and making applications which you can view in the Careers Resource Area.

Fairs and events

Notices of Recruitment Fairs in Scotland are available through AGCAS Scotland. Check our Facebook page too for information on upcoming national and local careers events and fairs. Remember to check Prospects for details of QMU events.
