I am a Professor of International Health Financing and Health Systems in the Institute for Global Health and Development and am also a member of the Institute for Global Health and Development Research Centre.

I am a health economist specialising in health financing policy and health systems research in low and middle income countries. I have over 25 years experience in these areas, working first in a development agencies and then in the universities of York, Aberdeen and QMU Edinburgh.
