My name is Emma Reekie and I am 18 years old from Glasgow. Although taking a gap year to travel was very appealing to me, I decided to come to uni straight from school. I am glad I made this decision, but at some point I would still love to take time out to interrail around various cities.

I chose to come to Queen Margaret University because I love the city of Edinburgh and it was a perfect distance from home: not too far away but not too close. QMU was also the only university I could find in Scotland that had the exact, broad course I wanted to do. I am studying Public Relations, Marketing and Events, which are the areas both my parents work in too, and I am currently in the process of trying to find a job in either Musselburgh or Edinburgh to help with finances.
