Personal Profile:
My research focuses primarily on consumer choice and consumer policy (consumer voice and representation). I am particularly interested in food value chains and the way in which these reflect types of consumer value. I also research consumer behaviour in wider cultural settings, whether national or lifestyle-related. My research interests are reflected in my teaching, with current modules in Consumer Behaviour, Cultures of Consumption, Food Marketing and Business Excellence. The public policy Sustainability agenda features particularly highly in my current research, with active projects on ethical/green consumption and on the distinctiveness of local food systems.
