By making a gift to Queen Margaret University, you can make a real difference to the experience of individual students and the reach of our teaching and research.

When making your gift, you can choose between a number of funds as set out below.  With each fund, you can give online securely by clicking on the relevant hyperlink.

Unrestricted Fund: This fund allows us to allocate funds according to the greatest needs.

LRC Book Fund: Your donation will be used to purchase new books and electronic resources in a particular subject area, or you can choose to leave the decision to the discretion of the Learning Resource Centre staff.

The Student Fund: Grants from The Student Fund are designed to support specific student led projects, initiatives and activities, which can be demonstrated to have a positive benefit to the student, the university and the wider community – whether that be locally, nationally or internationally. As with the LRC Fund, donations can be targeted towards specific areas.

The Martlet Club: For those who wish make a donation of £120 or more each year or a monthly donation of £10 upwards.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Fund: Created for the specific purpose of broadening students’ horizons, by providing the means for students to travel abroad to study or take part in exchanges.

Tree of Life Fund: Dobbies Garden World Melville has provided 150 trees to commemorate the 150th anniversary of QMU in 2025. By donating to this fund, you can name a tree in honour or memory of an individual or to celebrate your graduation.

Our donors include graduating students, alumni, parents, local community members and other friends of the University. For more information see our donor testimonials and online benefactor wall. See also our Gift Acceptance Policy.
